Full stack web dev here with a bias towards the backend. On my own time I prefer to use python for web work and GDScript/Godot for game dev, but I'm a big proponent of using the right tools for the job. I'm good at turning domain knowledge into software and quickly getting up to speed on preexisting code bases. Ideally looking for a role doing something socially conscious.
At my last job I led a team and helped build a Windows desktop app that pulled data from native node modules and added overlays to games. I used Electron, Node, Typescript, React, and Redux to build it, AWS for CI/deployments, and finally TrackJS and Sentry for logging/monitoring. I also started learning Rust from working with other engineers on the native node modules.
Recent work:
- Developing rigorous measurement processes on noisy data in high-stakes, safely-critical quality control applications - mostly vision based.
- Building flexible frameworks, computer vision processing services and APIs to overcome technical debt, boost growth into new areas, and enhance security.
- Highly skilled in creating value by going from theoretical ideas to profitable real world applications. My algorithms and code are in industrial systems all over the world, there is a good chance you own or use a product that was physically inspected by my work before being shipped.
- Modernizing legacy code
- Managing vendors of hardware and software.
- Managing junior developers.
- Finding simplicity hiding in the mess.
I'm mostly targeting software roles but have a background in designing and owning many levels from mechanics to optics to the processing pipeline and algorithms to the user interface. I also have lab / shop space, so if I do encounter an organization that could benefit from integrated software and hardware work, there may be a possibility there too.
Interests outside of current expertise: (meaning I've dabbled and would like to do more)
- Machine learning: I've experimented with TensorFlow and defect recognition.
- CUDA
- WebAssembly

I'm a full-stack developer with 2 years of experience mostly explained on my resume. The biggest thing I'm looking for in my next role is learning and growth opportunity – I'm still early in my career and need the space for that. The most impressive thing I've done is co-create Rabbitory (https://rabbitory.github.io), a tool for automating the deployment and management of RabbitMQ on AWS.
I'm fast, hungry, and want to talk
After a stint running a startup and doing a lot of conference hand shaking, I am returning to my roots getting my hands dirty with data problems. Give me your gnarliest queries, your query planner nightmares, your long departed intern’s trail of duct tape, your favourite jazz standard, or let me build you a team and unfreeze your data customers.
Equally happy with consulting or full time work.

I'm a Principal (Full-stack) Engineer who's now looking for a new career challenge.
I have many years experience in designing and developing software and integrated systems. I've built a diverse range of full-stack solutions for Cloud, Desktop, Mobile, Wearable, and IoT, using a wide variety of runtimes, languages, frameworks, models and tools.
What am I looking for? Ideally, a Senior or Principal full-stack engineering role where I can help build cool things that make a difference to people's lives.
I am looking for where there is a lot to do, solving real-world problems, a hunger to learn exists, and everyone is collaborative and fun to work with.
I also love good documentation. To quote: "People who say documentation shouldn't be necessary have never experienced good documentation."
I am pretty much agnostic in terms of technology, because there is no silver bullet. Speaking of that, I shipped applications with Ruby, Java, C#, and Go.
Feel free to ping me via my email to discuss how we can work together.
I've been working on production-grade AWS deployments for over 10 years, so it's a bit hard to frame my experience/skill set. That being said, if you need help with almost anything AWS - architecture, infrastructure, performance, scale - feel free to reach out. Although versed in Well-Architected/multi-region/multi-account, I strive to supply the simplest solution for your particular scenario.

Hi I'm Daisy- a Product Designer with 4+ years of experience. The majority of my professional experience has been in the realm of B2B security and SaaS D2C finance. I have a strong technical understanding and really enjoy working for a team that cares about making truly user centered products to drive adoption, as opposed to using pushy design patterns. I'm interested in full-time work in a position adjacent or differing from my recent experience. I'd be happy to lean into something super relevant, or make a turn for something more creative. Reach out if I can be of help.
Hi. I'm Mike. I'm a polyglot backend computer/software engineer w 20+ years experience delivering software in high-stakes, high-paced roles. I have spent the majority of my career in remote roles around the finance, cryptocurrency, and IoT industries.
I pickup new ideas quickly, self-start, and self-direct. I don't know how to idle. I enjoy making sense of chaos and and turning ambiguity into understood risk with insight toward mitigation. I have prototyped my share of MVPs and understand how to glean value from tight feedback loops. I offer technical leadership that understands how to drive consensus toward pragmatic solutions in teams of all sizes. I deliver at a level which most companies consider a Staff/Senior Engineer.
I'm looking for opportunities where I can leverage my deep Golang experience into opportunities to learn new languages/technology. New interesting technology includes (but not limited to) Zig, AI/ML, applied cryptography, and creating unique experiences through art/music. I want to deliver meaningful work which helps humanity keep their freedoms and creating technology that makes the world more equitable. I like avocados.

I am a systems software engineer specializing in low-level software design for backend systems. My professional experience spans multiple compiled languages, including Rust, C++, and Go. I have developed REST API servers, gRPC programs, and background job handlers/schedulers.
In Rust, I have extensive hands-on experience building low-level applications using the Tokio runtime, applying strong principles of distributed systems, and working with synchronization primitives such as Mutexes, RwLocks, and concurrent data structures. I also focus on performance optimizations that leverage the language’s zero-cost abstractions and memory model.
I place strong emphasis on building reliable test environments, using real-world testing methodologies such as unit tests, integration tests, concurrency stress tests, and fixture-based simulations.
I have worked with clients across several domains, including: - Image processing - Blockchain network layer design - Cloud infrastructure solutions
One of my most significant Rust projects was developing and deploying a web-based terminal access system for LXD containers running on bare-metal servers. This system leveraged Tokio for concurrency, TTYD for terminal emulation, and Caddy as the reverse proxy, with communication over Unix Domain Sockets. The solution also supported authentication. Efficient and scalable under configuration of environment.
I love playing with distributed system a lot and challenging myself to learn new concepts under this domain.

I attended Virginia Tech for three years and studied Computer Science and Math. I got the core CS curriculum completed; the part I didn't complete were the electives. I had to stop attending because I ran out of money.
Due to my current financial situation, unfortunately I'll require a salary position - no equity only.
With all that said, I'm open to having a conversation with anyone. Thanks! :)
My preferred next career move is independent contracting. 6-12 months contracts ideally. I will also consider permanent fully remote positions, but only quite senior ones - Staff Engineer / Architect level.
I've been fully remote since 2018 and I intend to keep it that way.

Greetings! I am looking for my break to get into the contemporary software development scene, after having previously developed software (primarily Windows utilities) on my own and having dabbled in various technologies. This break will most likely take the form of a tech support, documentation, or QA role for a software development team. An entry-level developer position would be even better, from a company that will have a bit of patience as I rapidly level up to their contemporary technology of choice.
I like both the aesthetic, UI, and social challenges of frontend development as well as the complex, very technical puzzles involved in backend development. It is very easy for me to be fascinated by cool technologies, both old and new.
Another appealing option for me would be to be involved with AI model training and evaluation.
I've had several years experience working remotely with international teams, though in primarily non-technical roles.
I look forward to making first contact with your world!

One of these kind of problems is related to what I am currently building, vector (domain specific) language implemented in Ruby that lowers and then codegens to Ruby and JS: https://github.com/amuta/kumi
I am very confident on my skills as a developer but at the same time I find it to be inversely correlated with short performatic technical interviews. If you evaluate me with scoped work or a debugging session with real logs and tracing, we’ll both get a truer signal.
If you are working on a challenging problem with a lot of unknowns that requires deep technical understanding, I'd be very interested to hear about it. Please send me an email, and let's have a conversation.

My work flow these days looks like this - 50% of time planning and finalising exactly what the requirements are, generating a requirement doc which includes user requirements, our performance budget (https://addyosmani.com/blog/performance-budgets/), how to test it (locally husky or on ci/cd or both) e.t.c performance test and non functional requirements - then 10-15% of the time is spent on Implementation planning and communication with team - The main code implementation , I just tell my friend claude to do it :) - Then my work starts reviewing the the code written by my friend. then comes deploying and monitoring work the Final Boss AWS :P.
dont worry most of these works are done by my besties CKCC Chat GPT, Kiro, Cursor and Claude Code

- Turn ambiguous SME workflows into shipped AI/LLM products (0-1 -> scale)
- Double conversion (+100%), launch to millions of users, and lead cross-functional teams (6–12; coord. ~50)

Hey, I'm Rob - a frontend engineer with over 15 years experience building for the web. While my core competency is frontend and the React ecosystem, I can navigate the full stack confidently and contribute to most any codebase. I've worked on products sitting atop PHP, C#/.NET, Python, Rails and Node.
The bulk of my experience is in startups (B2C, B2B & SaaS), though I am open to any organization that provides a strong culture fit. In my experience, culture and team dynamics far outways what is being built - or the tech that is being used. I am growth oriented and passionate about working collaboratively, cross-functionally, and making a meaningful impact in people's lives with what is built. I'm also unafraid of legacy code or tech debt.
Note: My current role and location is in St Thomas, USVI. After my last startup role, my family and I decided to try something new and see if life in the Virgin Islands could work for us. In short, it did not. My family is already in WA, and I am here finishing up my role as IT Coordinator. I will be joining my family in WA at the end of November.

This work included rolling out phish-resistant auth across Microsoft's developer tool products (think Visual Studio, VS Code, Azure CLI, etc) through Entra's suite of authentication SDKs, and enabling Proof-of-Possession policies through Conditional Access to protect 100k+ employees' access to sensitive resources such as source code and internal build systems.
Actively interviewing for staff / principal product roles, mainly within platform teams for B2B enterprise SaaS products. Most open to hybrid roles with the appropriate scope. Opportunity to move into a lead / management role is a nice-to-have, but not an immediate priority.
Creative, passionate, not-your-typical full stack dev. Proven js/ts wiz who has made apps that stretch the limits of the browser from prototype to production for multiple early-stage YC startups across biotech and fintech. Secretly dreams of being able to work on something cool with his true passion, Lisp (CL experienced, clojure dabbler), but would love to chat about anything else. Cursor can pull Emacs out of my cold dead hands, but Claude Code works alright!

Summary: 4+ YoE as a full-stack developer with strong frontend expertise and experience building scalable, user-centric web applications.
I am open to part-time or full-time freelance / consulting opportunities (up to 40h/week), where I can apply my skills to create impactful solutions in web platforms, SaaS products, and real-time applications.
LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/izuchukwu-uchendu
Have done & can do full-stack work (helped last company grow from three engineers and through acquisition) but lean towards backend/infrastructure in expertise. Most recently platform technical lead (IC).
MEng EE & CS blend. (No professional EE experience, but somewhat maintained as a hobby.) 8y post-intern experience in web software.
Looking for something new to sink my teeth into in an organisation with room to grow. Remote opportunities only please, and that I'm eligible for residing in the UK & as a British citizen, though I'm perfectly willing to travel for particular events/big meetings. Cheers!
I'm a data scientist in a world of data technicians and I look for hard problems to solve. Hair on fire "This is causing lemon-law recalls and we can't solve it." type problems - I've done a few of those. I have 15+ years experience helping companies plan, prototype, and productionize sane data science solutions.
I love avant garde problems, and have a pretty unique skillset. I've worked with names you know in automotive, aviation, tech, and other spaces. Recently I've been working with Oil & Gas - Production estimates, pricing, failure analysis, and other interesting things.
I've worked on projects including LLMs, knowledge extraction, automotive part failure prediction, vehicle route planning in constrained environments, translation, maintenance optimization, automated sports highlights, maritime piracy, and more.
Don't hesittate to get in touch. Referals welcome. Email in profile.
Look, I am a very experienced Developer of nearly 20 years. I have worked on countless projects as both a Front End Developer and Backend (and UI designer in the past).
I have worked with many startups, long-standing corporations, governments, many name brands (in which I'm sure you've even interacted with my work multiple times and wouldn't know it), and have had my own businesses in this field. I have single handily built applications seen by millions of public users and I would absolutely bet you are one of them.
I began freelancing in high-school in the late 90s. I didn't learn development from a bootcamp, I was obsessed at an early age and understood the fundamentals of JavaScript well before front-end frameworks were a thing yet my experience with React, Vue, SolidJS, and many others has been the forefront of my work for the past 13 years or so (not SolidJS obviously).
I know this market isn't great on both sides, and you could absolutely hire someone outside the US for cheaper (my rate is 65/hr negotiable btw), but you would definitely not get the same experience or outcome for your project.
I am also available for local hybrid (Atlanta, GA), part-time, full-time, remote etc. and am I am absolutely devoted to the work that I do.
My personal hobbies include upgrading and maintaining my on-premise k8s cluster (reddit post of the first iteration: https://www.reddit.com/r/homelab/comments/1li74m2/first_home...) comprised of many various Single Board Computers with different archetectures to self host my entire digital life for security and privacy, as well as teaching a small class about the fundamentals of electronics. My talent however lies strongly on the front end but my curiosity is in linux, open source, security, and so on.

Hi! I’m Sinisa, a web developer with 10+ years of experience helping startups and companies turn ideas into real products. I’ve worked remotely for the past six years; before that, I was onsite in SF and Berlin, building with fast-moving teams.
Most of my work has been in SaaS and FinTech, where I’ve led front-end teams, built products from scratch, and worked closely with founders to decide what to build and how to get it to market quickly. I specialize in front-end, UX, and product development, but I’ve got enough full-stack experience to keep projects moving end-to-end when needed.
Always happy to hop on a call and chat about how I can help!

Hi I'm Cruz, a software engineer experienced in full-stack development, data pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and applied AI. I recently created Tumbleweed (https://tumbleweed-cdc.github.io/), a framework that uses Change Data Capture for real-time data sync across microservices. Lets chat!
I'm an ML researcher @ MIT and a student at Northeastern University majoring in CS and Linguistics. I've built large-scale, efficient software for my neuromechanics and quantum photonics labs, for satellites, and for agentic video editing startups. I'm looking for co-ops (8 months full-time, Jan - August) in systems engineering, ML engineering and research, agentic systems, full-stack, GPU infra and programming, and embedded systems. My most recent projects: I won HackMIT with an autonomous power grid with iron-air batteries and mixed-integer linear programming-based electrical routing. Also built https://github.com/tetraslam/SHFLA; it hit the front page of HN. Over the summer I interned at https://mosaic.so, where I built their developer API, 4 core tiles (intro, outro, watermark, and AI augment), universal media search (search over hundreds of thousands of videos/images/audio in <2s accurately), and social media agents which autonomously find, edit, and post content to great amounts of engagement (>10k impressions per post in testing)

I’m Brendan, a dedicated UX/UI & SaaS Product Designer (B.A. Interaction Design from Canada). For 9+ years, I’ve delivered high-converting UI/UX solutions for ambitious startups and founders across web and mobile applications.
If you need continuous, dedicated design support to keep up with competition and scale your development pipeline, I provide an ongoing UI designer partnership. You'll receive development-ready, high-fidelity design deliverables every single week to immediately ship more value to your users and keep up with your competition.
My latest project is GitArena (https://github.com/mellowagain/gitarena), a self-hostable Git + issue-tracker written in async Rust (Actix-Web, Tokio, PostgreSQL, htmx). I also grew Fiberplane's Rust REST API and CLI, wrote an OpenAPI -> Rust codegen tool, and automated its Terraform infra.
Feel free to get in touch to learn more about me and my previous experiences.
DevOps/SRE/Platform Engineering -- I'm interested in solving infrastructure and operational problems with software and taking ownership of the whole software system, including production.
I thrive when embedded in product teams, blending backend and infrastructure. I'm comfortable taking initiative to identify and remove performance or process bottlenecks -- many times users have thanked me for removing a big pain point they only realized the scale of after it was fixed.
Looking for teams where I can combine backend and infrastructure work, dig into performance problems, take ownership across the stack, and help scale products reliably.
Venture-minded Product Lead / Technical Product Manager with 9+ years in SaaS and full-stack development (TypeScript, Angular, React, Next.js, NestJS). Experienced in bridging business and engineering, launching 0→1 products, and integrating AI into real-world workflows. Multilingual communicator (English, Russian, Japanese, German, Czech). Seeking opportunities in async-first, remote teams.

Who I am:
Fractional CTO and Director of Technology with 25+ years of layered experience across a multitude of technology solutions. I've often been called a Swiss army knife of technology solutions. I've consulted executives on the best approaches, interviewed and hired their staff, lead and managed teams of developers for quick turnaround projects as well as more in depth ongoing products. Language experience with Mandarin Chinese (advanced) and Khmer (basic).
What I am looking for:
I'm looking for projects that need a part time Fractional CTO or director of technology.

Resume: https://bit.ly/3B3o65M (It links to my CV repo at Github, pinky promise. You can also visit github.com/<hnusername>.)
I'm not actively looking (hence why my resume link is obfuscated like that) but I'm at least interested in getting a feel for the market right now. That said, I'm willing to consider a position with a great fit for my skill set and career goals.
Here's my pitch: I have experience in a multitude of industries and positions. From improving legacy infra and processes in an established telco company to scaling a fast-moving startup from 200K to 2M users. In my free time, I love writing Code That Is Poetry but day-to-day I am not an idealist engineer who doesn't compromise. Well-engineered code is clean and correct but correct above all else.
Oh, also, I'm great at writing documentation. I consider myself introverted but apparently my communication skills are above average for Software Engineers. I also pride myself on my humility and modesty.
I'm currently a backend engineer developing features and improving infra for an online game with millions of daily active users. I'd love to explore other technical positions in the games industry short of joining a AAA studio because (a) I don't want to crunch and (b) my skill set does not lay that way; other tech-creative industries would also appeal to me! Another particular interest is in B2C businesses where the 'C' is software developers. I'd love to chat and network about opportunities; if you think you have a product that could benefit from my skill set, drop me a line!

Hi! I'm Buck, a software engineer with 6 years of experience building cloud services and enterprise web apps, and I'm looking for my next backend or full-stack role, with an eye towards moving West. At Oracle, I currently work on a serverless function for generating documents (https://docs.oracle.com/en-us/iaas/Content/Functions/Tasks/f...), which has been fascinating, as I've gotten to learn the internals of the DOCX and XLSX formats while also using Terraform and custom tooling to deploy and maintain the product in dozens of cloud regions. Before this project, I also worked on the Database Tools Service (https://www.oracle.com/database/tools-service/), a cloud service for creating reusable database connections and executing SQL, helping to integrate with internal platforms, maintain the service, and deploy it to many regions. In general, I'm known for solving problems thoroughly, maintaining high standards in development and reviews, and helping out teammates and customers whenever I see the opportunity. If any of that sounds interesting to you, I would love to hear from you!

Full-stack developer with 18+ years of experience building websites and applications across industries including media, finance, and e-commerce. I work across the full stack to create fast, accessible, and scalable solutions. Comfortable owning the entire development lifecycle—from architecture and infrastructure to UI/UX and performance optimization. Deep experience with custom CMS solutions, serverless architectures, and integrations with complex APIs.
Primarily looking for a full-time role on a team, but open to contract opportunities as well.
I started off building VB.NET automations around Excel and SQL server as well helping revive a left-for-dead DWH project for a bank, before venturing into telco (where I built reporting and online self-assessment platforms), consulting (implementing K2 BPA for an assortment of local companies and MNCs), e-commerce (gamification, reporting) and fintech.
Fintech also happened to be the part where I took a somewhat sharp turn in my career and delved into the infra/devops/SRE side of things; which exposed me to contanerization and orchestration, and eventually later towards Kubernetes.
As of now, I'm in a probationary status in a local fintech/crypto exchange, juggling between helping engineers and being a devops ticket monkey -- setting up Jenkins pipelines, GCP resources, the works.
I enjoy doing R&D stuff as well as writing automations -- in a previous job posting, my probationary project was to migrate entire deployments from Flux CD into Spinnaker, which included figuring out how to integrate HC Vault without exposing secrets in the pipeline itself.
If you look at my LinkedIn, I have details on the cool stuff I've worked on.
I'm open to infra/SRE/devops as well as backend roles, regardless of seniority -- I've led a team for ~3 years but has since decided that being an IC allowed me more technical work, tinkering around with stuff and writing documentations (which I enjoy more). Being a tinkerer and loving to venture into the unknown, I have no qualms about learning new frameworks, technologies, or whatever esoteric stuff you need me to get up to speed to.
At Eclypsium, I designed medallion architectures for normalizing unstructured advisory data at scale, integrated LLMs for extraction workflows, built tooling for AI agent distribution across engineering teams, and automated vendor data ingestion pipelines.
I previously migrated live auth systems with zero downtime and took SaaS products from prototype to production.
I'm seeking a senior backend or data engineering role at a stable, product-focused company. Strong in API design, data modeling, and production AI integration.

a CPA-turned-engineering leader who has spent the last few years bridging technology, operations, and strategy. I most recently worked in the Office of the CTO, driving AI adoption, building technical governance frameworks, and overseeing complex infrastructure transitions (domain migrations, data centre expansion, disaster recovery testing, etc).
Alongside leadership, I stay hands-on: building with Go/React, orchestrating CI/CD pipelines, and creating AI-powered internal tooling. I’ve also built products from scratch in accounting/fintech, led teams, and streamlined processes with automation.
My main side project is Zettelgarden, a personal knowledge management system where AI agents help capture, process and work with your information.

Education: BEng+MEng in Software Engineering from ITBA. Graduated first in class (Isidoro Marin Award).
Looking for a hands-on backend, infrastructure or systems role. Strong in backend and data today, and aiming to grow deeper into infrastructure and systems programming
For the last 3 years I've been building at Waterplan (YC S21), where I grew from Backend Engineer to Data Engineering Lead and then Lead of Innovation. I led a 7-person cross-functional team of five engineers and two water scientists designing and implementing an automated risk-analysis and water-evidence pipeline that combined expert methodology with AI. Results: over 80% accuracy and about 50% less expert effort. I've also built the company-wide data lake and unified analytics on BigQuery for reliable self-serve reporting.
Spend a lot of my spare time (inventing and then) solving my own problems using my extensive skillset.

I have over a decade of experience with Angular, and I teach other developers how to use every new feature, providing clear explanations to the Angular community through my [blog](https://medium.com/@eugeniyoz).
I could create a new Angular app using Nx, Angular 20, Tailwind 4, Playwright, and Vitest, making it 100% zoneless with outstanding performance and low memory consumption. Or, I could assist you in fixing bugs in an existing app, improving performance, and implementing features of any complexity.
Types of projects I've worked on: * CRM - Tickets, chat, dozens of dynamically modifiable reports, charts, editable tables.
* Warehouse Management System - Barcode scanner, mobile app (Ionic), dashboard app.
* Vodafone Site Management - App for managing over 100 types of devices (with dynamically generated forms for each type), geolocation tools, 3D room editor (three.js), charts, and real-time data synchronization across tabs.
* SAP/Spartacus plugin for the Sony e-shops.
* e-commerce site with modern UI, SSR, zoneless architecture, Tailwind CSS 4, hydration, and various performance, SEO, and Core Web Vitals optimizations;
* surex.com (frontend) - insurance questionnaire app with multiple complicated forms;
* and 30+ other projects, from small startups and individuals to large enterprise companies.

Most of my career I've led research and startup-like commercial projects for companies wanting to modernize their processes, using whichever technology I felt was adequate. Some examples are: deployment of multiple applications on EC2 instances and on Kubernetes (with AKS, EKS, Helm Charts, ArgoCD, Istio), telemetrics pipeline and dashboards with AWS (S3, Lambda, Glue, Athena, Grafana, Postgres) to track millions of daily messages from a fleet of vehicles, firmware for two 1M€ industrial EVs, a plugin for Cura 3D printing software, knitting machine defect detection with computer vision, redid my employer's website from scratch, telemetry of a global fleet of threading machines, a cloud connected tractor using satellite data for fertilization, firmware of a machine that manufactures medical plastic parts with ultrasounds... I've also won the Swisshacks hackathon with an AI RAG tool for financial analysts.

About Me: I am a soon-to-graduate Software Engineer from Hack Reactor’s 16-week immersive program (graduating October 2025), with a B.S. in Biochemistry and minors in Psychology and Political Science from UC San Diego. Through the bootcamp, I gained a wide but relatively shallow foundation across full-stack web development. I recognize that my experience is still developing, but I am motivated to build depth through real-world practice, mentorship, and continuous learning.
I value collaboration and engineering best practices such as Agile, pair programming, code reviews, and CI/CD. More than seeking a role for income alone, I am looking for opportunities where I can grow as an engineer, strengthen my computer science fundamentals, and become deeply proficient in the technologies I’ve learned while continuing to expand into new ones.
I am open to internships, part-time, or full-time roles where I can contribute meaningfully, work hard, and steadily develop into a strong and well-rounded engineer. Adaptable and eager to learn, I am committed to doing whatever it takes, whether that means stepping into unfamiliar areas, learning quickly under guidance, or embracing new challenges, to improve my skills and grow with my team.
My current backend development focus is with .NET (C# or F#), but I'm excited by the prospect of working with Go. I'm also open to diving into projects using Swift, Rust, or OCaml.
If you're looking for someone self-motivated and passionate about the field, I'd love it if you shot me an email.

PHP/JS/TS Development, Extremely competitive rates available.
I build new projects and revitalize legacy code. I work mostly with Laravel and React/Inertia or Livewire.
I integrate modern tools pragmatically, adding real-time features via Websockets (Laravel Reverb etc) and AI capabilities like RAG for context-aware search and content generation.
I develop methodically – implementing tests for new features and maintaining clear documentation while keeping sharp focus on shipping tangible results. Through proactive communication, we'll collaboratively define the sweet spot between code quality and delivery pace.
Best at taking things from zero to production and turning chaotic codebases into production-ready, scalable systems. You can see my full work at koray.onl; please reach out if you’d like to learn more.
I'd love to get into ML if there's a scientific/research slant, e.g. simulations, optimizations, etc. I'm very interested in HPC and have played a little with Slurm/Lmod/Singularity, but haven't managed to break in. I want to do work that benefits humanity, or at least a nontrivial subset thereof.
My major lifelong fascinations center around artificial life, computability, computational social sciences, GOFAI, etc, but I tend to shift focus a lot and do a lot of deep dives into random spots on the CS/IT landscape.
My weaknesses: in-depth knowledge; I'm really not an SME of anything. I haven't scaled things to millions of requests per minute. I don't spend time grinding LeetCode. I'm probably not suited for early-stage startups, either temperamentally or professionally; I lean toward sustainability, pragmatism, and care, eating my own dogfood, and sticking around long enough to learn from my own mistakes. I tend to write too much.
My strengths: I'm curious, easy to get along with, focused on continual improvement, and probably some kind of workaholic. I'm a good researcher and I've developed some good instincts.

My name is Chris, and I have a career that spans nearly 25 years focusing on frontend web development and interface design. I love the web, technology, and video games.
I also serve as the creator and core maintainer for Skeleton (https://www.skeleton.dev/), an open source design system and component library currently available for Svelte and React (with Vue and Solid.js coming soon). I've grown the project from a small internal toolkit for a 5 person startup to a fully featured standalone library. We average around 80k downloads a month, have nearly 6k stars on GitHub, and community of over 2k members on Discord. I recently traveled to Barcelona Spain for the Svelte Summit where I had the privilege to meet many of my peers in the Svelte and greater open source community - including Rich Harris (creator of Svelte), who praised our work on Skeleton.
I would love to work on FOSS all day every day, but in order to support myself I split my time and operate as a freelancer alongside my open source contributions. This means I'm currently available around 20-30 hours a week Monday-Friday.
I'm open to any sort of interesting project with a focus on frontend web. I'm also available to act in a consultant role. I'm ideally seeking projects that make a positive contribution to society.
Thanks for your consideration!

Hi, I'm Michael Geary. I've programmed in many languages and environments over the years. Some of my current interests are:
• Aviation and geographic data. For example, airspace and obstacle data importers for Wing; election results and voter information maps for Google; many interactive maps for other companies.
• Hardware interfacing. In a way, I am a "full stack" developer, but my stack may involve a front end to a piece of hardware rather than the cloud. I first got into programming via ham radio, so RF hardware remains an interest.
• Designing and building APIs. Too often an API is designed by exposing the internals of whatever system provides the API. My philosophy is the opposite: start with the apps. I like to build a series of sample apps before starting on the API. This way I can imagine what API will make those apps and others like them easy to build.
• Talk with users! I don't like to sit in a back room cranking out code. I want to make sure it's the right code for what my users need, and that it's easy to maintain and improve as we learn more about what they want.
Open to full time or contract.
I look forward to talking with you!

Hi, I’m a software engineer based in London. I have a BSc in Economics and used to be an investment analyst at a strong VC fund. I also have a MSc in Psychology of Mental Health and am training to be a Psychotherapist. So… a bit of an odd (but hopefully interesting) profile.
I’m open to hear about any roles at companies doing cool things. I’d love to work at a hedge fund (I’m very connected to current events and invest myself), or as part of a sports team - particularly in football (where I have done a fair bit of coaching) and F1.
I believe I’m an emotionally intelligent deep generalist who could be useful in a number of organisations/roles.
Email in profile if you want to have a chat.
Thank you

Technologies: Pharma/Biotech Project Management, Chemistry Manufacturing and Controls Product Teams, Commercial Product Lifecycle Management, Global Supply Chain Management, Network Strategy
Résumé/CV: www.linkedin.com/in/teescull
Email: Message me on LinkedIn.
Analytical chemist turned CMC project manager with 13 years in pharma/biotech and 5+ years co-leading cross-functional teams spanning Manufacturing, Outsourcing, Process Chemistry, Formulations, Global Supply Chain, Finance, and Product Strategy. Proven track record balancing regulatory compliance and business priorities to deliver critical activities on time and in full.
Until earlier this year, I worked at Uber as a Developer Advocate for Cadence — an open-source workflow orchestration engine powering 12B+ workflows/month. I partnered with dozens of teams to support adoption, scale distributed systems, and troubleshoot production issues. Cadence is a key component of Uber's Michelangelo ML platform, and I worked closely with AI/ML teams to integrate it into fault-tolerant pipelines. I also supported internal model training efforts, including fine-tuning LLMs to answer Cadence-related questions and building systems to classify and prioritize developer support.
At DoorDash, I contributed to the migration from Django to Kotlin microservices on the Drive Merchant Services team, focusing on customer support endpoints. I also designed and implemented a modular refund rules engine for our largest partners, enabling flexible refund logic and supporting internal tooling.
I’ve previously built NLP pipelines at Jobscan to match résumés to job descriptions and score resume strength, and earlier, trained models to predict ad performance based on copywriting—my first foray into ML back in 2016.
After wrapping up at Uber, I took the summer off for personal restoration following a divorce. I'm now excited to return to a hands-on engineering role with a collaborative, technically strong team and a path toward engineering leadership (EM or CTO). I'm particularly interested in infrastructure, developer platforms, and applied ML systems in domains like healthcare, logistics, finance, or defense.
Outside of work, I enjoy navigating Puget Sound on my sailboat, wrenching on my motorcycle, and getting curious about obscure systems and trivia. Let’s build something meaningful.

Like this Ask HN: Recommend employers with positive social impact [https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=31518945], I am looking for similar work, but I am open to work on any interesting project. I am a European software developer who has lived and worked on four continents. Now it's time to move on and so I am in the process to relocate to Africa.
I have more than a decade of experience running a company, doing software development, support and training and mentoring adults and students, as well as working on educational projects, and I am willing to take on a mixture of roles as needed to support a project.
I value good teamwork over fancy tech, and I don't shy away from working on legacy code. I am primarily motivated by solving problems, so let me help you solve your problems.
I am open to work for a company anywhere as long as the work can be done fully remote from Africa.
While I could find a job elsewhere I believe that the experience living in an area where my work is going to have an impact gives me a better understanding of the needs of the location I am serving. Whether it is through direct contact with clients and users or just by being part of a local community and learning about the reality of living there.
In addition, I want to use some of my income to hire local interns and junior developers and train them in order to pass on my experience. I also sponsor children that otherwise can't afford to go to school (see my website). If you want to support this, I would love to work with you. Also if you are interested in hiring African developers yourself. I can help you build up a team for you.

But sometimes pure tech really scratches that itch, you know? Startup culture sounds super fun! Or I spend too much time on hn, idk. I'd love to make use of my relatively generalist skills, and just try to make something that people use. Ideally, even improve their lives.
I'm probably being way too optimistic on what I can realistically find, especially at this stage of my career, but hey you gotta start somewhere. If anyone's reading this - hi! Thank you for reading whatever this is, I think I roughly just want to give an idea of my uhhh... vibe.
Final (serious) note, because at the end of the day I am looking for a job: I try to write clean, performant code, using the right technologies for the job. I care about creating well-designed, intuitive programs. And I care about getting things done! If that's a piece of software, or using software to achieve something else, I'm happy to do it.

I’m a resourceful and reliable technology professional with over eight years of experience spanning applications development, IT operations, software engineering, and enterprise system support. I am a career technologist who believes that technology should deliver optimal experiences for end users while championing strategic goals for business. Whether I’m building clean, maintainable code, designing high-quality web applications, or troubleshooting system vulnerabilities, my focus is always on creating solutions that are scalable, efficient, and user-friendly.
I’ve built my career on a balance of technical depth and human connection. On the technical side, I thrive in environments where I can dive into code, analyze complex systems, and optimize processes. I’ve
succeeded in: - Reducing application latency from 30 seconds to under one second. - Maintaining more than 100 RESTful API endpoints. - Writing or updating over 500,000 lines of code that power everything from web applications to mobile platforms.
I’ve worked across industries and projects where adaptability and continuous learning were key. I’ve built expertise across cloud platforms (AWS, GCP), databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL), and frameworks (React, Node.js, Laravel, .NET, CodeIgniter, Express). I’m fluent in multiple programming languages, including JavaScript, Python, C#, HTML, CSS, and Typescript, and I’m comfortable navigating version control tools like Git and SourceTree. What excites me most is the challenge of problem-solving and the chance to deliver solutions that make a real difference for users and businesses alike.
I’m always experimenting with new programming techniques, sharpening my knowledge in full-stack development, and exploring ways to visualize data and optimize performance. For me, staying relevant in this industry means not only keeping up with the pace of change but staying curious enough to anticipate what’s next.
Colleagues have seen me as a collaborator and leader who’s approachable and friendly, yet willing to step up and guide a team with clarity and purpose. I take pride in fostering environments where people feel supported, where feedback flows openly, and where projects stay aligned to both technical best practices and organizational goals.
If you’re looking for someone who can bridge the gap between deep technical expertise and effective collaboration, while driving innovation and performance, I’d love to connect.

I am a seasoned (>13 years experience) full-stack staff-to-principal-level software engineer/consultant specializing in the backend, systems architecture, AI, platform engineering, internal tools, prototyping, and data engineering. In addition to strong programming and architectural skills, I'm a force multiplier for any team in either role through the three T's -- teaching, talking, and tooling. I also hold a US patent in the AI space.
In the past, I've taught a number of scientists and students to code in python; I've led and managed a number of high-impact engineering teams of up to 12; and pioneered a number of no- and low-code solutions for stream processing, data model and query generation, form building, workflow systems, and front-end construction for a variety of industries, including those with strong regulatory requirements and complex business rules such as healthcare and fintech. >10% of all medicare applications and millions of individuals currently flow through pioneering no-code systems I conceived and built and have ran in production for over a decade.
More recently, I've built a no-code automated form-filler and a workflow engine for coordinating LLMs and other generative AI processes, and on top of this a platform for both minimizing hallucinations and working with documents that are far too large for existing context window inputs or outputs using a novel, patented process that I invented; and applied these tools to various contracted projects requiring analysis and and cross-checking of information and other forms of integrity across textual and video/audio corpus data in a variety of domains (fiction and non-fiction).
I am also an improvisational pianist, published poet, and I've created novel algorithms and tools for studying and composing both music and poetry, which I have given a talk on at a recent functional programming conference.
I have extensive experience working for and running startups, software consulting shops, with some mid-sized company engineering experience as well; these give me a unique insight into speaking with customers and internal stake-holders, translating between engineering and other departments, gathering requirements, aligning stake-holders across departments on a vision and attainable timeline, and architecting/building/taking ownership over significant internal and customer-facing areas of responsibility.
If any of the above seems like a match for you and your organization or project, don't hesitate to reach out.

Hello, my name is Jesse.
I describe myself as a competent generalist, and a lifelong learner. I'm frequently working on something I've never done before. My most recent professional experience has been about a year at a semiconductor startup; I wrote prototypes for an ISA, compiler and a (really sweet) cycle simulator & debugger.
In terms of hard technical skills, I can quickly become productive in nearly any language, and at any level of the stack. I'm comfortable working in soft-realtime environments which are heavily multithreaded/async, and performance is a key acceptance criteria. I have a good understanding of modern hardware architectures, including GPUs, from main memory to registers and instruction pipelines. I have working knowledge of interpreters and dynamic language runtimes, including GCs. I'm convinced I can learn nearly anything (albeit some things more quickly than others), given an appropriate problem domain to apply it to.
In terms of business value, I can take hand-wavy visions of new products and turn them into working prototype(s), quickly. I'm comfortable refining those raw materials and delivering real value to customers, internal or external. I have a long track record of successfully identifying 80/20 solutions and love the feeling of making tools that make peoples lives better.
I'm a natural leader; informal teams coalesce around me when I'm not in a labelled position of leadership. I aspire to someday, maybe in the far future, become a strong technical leader. One of my best qualities is my (nearly) unwavering personal vendetta against mediocrity. I'm generally friendly and easy to get along with, but do not hesitate to volunteer constructive criticism where I see room for improvement. This has caused friction for me in the past, but I'm now generally good at gently steering my teammates in the direction of technical excellence.
In my personal life, I enjoy travelling, surfing, climbing, backcountry skiing, snowmobiling, pirates, and attending raves. I like the phrase "have strong opinions, weakly held".
If I was born to do one thing in this world, it's program computers.
Jesse

Hi there! I'm Dylan Fitzgerald, a software engineer with a knack for bridging the gap between technology and team dynamics. With a technical background in Ruby on Rails, Elixir, and DevOps, I excel in elevating the quality of projects while fostering a harmonious team environment. My years of consulting across the industry give me perspective on what works—and doesn't—with teams and process. In particular, I thrive on turning the implicit into deliberate decisions.
I've mostly consulted over the last seven years or so, but am open to going in-house for the right fit. Going deep on Elixir or learning a new culture by getting out of the state for a while would be compelling. (I've lived and worked outside the US for years previously.) - Full-stack development with a focus on Ruby on Rails and Elixir ecosystems.
- Expert implementation of TDD (particularly RSpec) ensuring reliable, maintainable code.
- Process, communication, and goal refinement within your team.
- Making informed decisions for your team and tech stack.
- DevOps practices to streamline your deployment and infrastructure management.
- Well-versed in using agentic AI tooling (my daily driver is Claude Code these days), and happy to explore and demo how this can accelerate you and your team.
My training in Shape Up and cross-industry exposure helps me tailor strategies specific to your team’s dynamics. I thrive in collaborative settings, helping leadership and teams navigate through their challenges to achieve exemplary results.
Past engagements have seen me providing code review services to hundreds of developers (junior to CTO level), and driving process improvements that enhance team cohesion and project delivery.
Let’s explore how we can build great stuff together!
