Battery cost per kwh is way cheaper for buying them in a car than a power wall or similar system for many vehicles.

For years Tesla didn't let you know use the battery in the car this way because they made money selling power walls. Then they added the inverter as part of selling that thing.

Multiple other cars have it and someone now sells an inverter that works on old teslas too
