The Amish aren’t wrong, they just feel left out of all the fuck-shit we’re doing.
That’s the most concise way I can put that.

No, they think that we are all mad to chase technology and to forget about life.
Vouched to say:
Correct.
and the only discontent with that a minority of their people feel is when they look at us.
I lived in a area with a lot of Amish people and got to know them a little bit - it is a fascinating culture with a lot of odd but - from their perspective - understandable decisions. My bet is that if and when the tech world crashes hard the Amish (a splinter group of the Mennonites) will be the last to notice.

Where traditional Arrernte, Wongi, et al likely won't notice at all.
That's true but they are also geographically isolated whereas Amish/Mennonites are usually found in areas where there is also a lot of technical development.
I appreciate the time you took to consider and answer, I'd put it to you that there's more to it than geographic isolation.
There's nothing preventing Wongi folk from buying a pair of DGX Sparks and having them shipped out to Kalgoolie and they're literally on the same ground as the Australian component of the SKA - some of the more advanced signal processing instrumentation and racked supercomputers on the planet.
I hear talk of making AI centres isolated in space, etc.
