BTW: Except in the city center and on the streets, you can build anywhere, and everyone can collaborate. If you’d like to build on your own, buy a lot with in-game coins. Then only you can place and remove bricks there.

I followed the tutorial, but keep getting "no building here" on land I purchased..? Thanks
You can build wherever you want as long as it is not someone else's lot. But everyone can destroy your creation - unless it's on your own lot. Is this possible?
Faced the same error "No building here" whereever I tried to place a block (common area or my lot)...
I'm following the tutorial too. I bought a small piece of land in the tutorial area, but it won't let me build on it.
At first I wanted to skip the buying of land for the moment and continue the tutorial. But I see step 12 is building on the land I bought.
The only other option seems to be to skip the tutorial which I don't want to do. How is this supposed to work?
same, nicely executed, except for the building part :(
Will investigate and fix the issues!
