When I was at Google I built https://gcping.com/ for fun to measure latency to each cloud region. I'm honestly surprised it's still up!

https://cloudping.info/ measures latency to multiple major cloud providers. I built it after leaving AWS. I plan to keep it running for many years.
Like your gcping.com, I originally named mine awsping.com. Then someone on HN informed me that the name is forbidden by AWS's rules, so I renamed it [0].

Well it turns out you don't even need a backend for this, you get the ~same results getting 404s from regional GCS buckets.

Pretty neat. Man, I love my internet connection. ~40ms to the nearest, and I live way out in the country. Thank you EU-funded projects!
There are a ton of European results in yours that do not appear in the post's site. Is that because those are colocated?
Yes. Some Google Cloud zones are in Google's own data centers and some are in third-party data centers. I vaguely remember them at some point also listing those third-party data centers somewhere, but I can't find it now and might be misremembering.
Why surprised?
Useful working tools tend to get sunset by google before long. Google earth pro is getting killed this January, get your downloads in.
Imagine I am in Nigeria, London and Berlin are always the least latency paths for me, Africa is huge man!
