I have one VM that uses traefik, letsencrypt, OIDC, stun/turn, and tailscale and acts as a front door to my homelab. Gives me TLS termination and actual domain names for the services that I want to be publicly accessible.

This is cool, but I have the same in my house - is there any advantage beside likely better uptime? I do have a physical firewall in between, I suppose there's no need for it with your setup?
I've used dynamic DNS services before and I've never really been happy with the free tier. I'm either too restricted, giving them my money, giving them my privacy, using a static IP for my home network (yikes!), or adding a dependency I don't control to my whole stack.
Also it's going to stay up even if my house catches fire which is something.
