I run nginx which proxies into a few personal web projects I work on plus Forgejo. I also run irssi and immich.

I do pay a little more, 16 euros per month, but this is largely to have 1TB of space.

I have had my own VPS since around 2010. Before that I was running an old Sun machine as a home server, but it was so heavy and unwieldy I gave it away when I moved.
