Same. At first he was happy as he lost a load of weight, then it kept happening and he nearly died in the office. Just collapsed one day. Insulin is an amazing invention. My dog, a little pug, gets porcine insulin after prednisone saved her life but gave her type 1.
It's so rare in adults it's got the cute name maturity onset diabetes of the young (MODY).
