I remember we where a sunos/ hpux shop. I was working on a compatability layer that allowed our ada to call out to the underlying OS. You figured system V would make them the same, but no.. So many #IFDEFs.. Sun's where our display and console machines. SunOS (it was the early 2000s..) had some weird network quirks (of course the udp multicast bug our group discovered was in HPUX.) HPUX had a really cool real time environment (turn of interupts and away you go... crash? reboot required..)

Being a Unix shop on our project didn't stop them from creating a new timecard system that worked only on windows.... The solution, citirx. It was a difficult time for non x86 / windows machines.

At some point we got SunRays as light terminals. Those were pretty good I must say.

Plus they put the Control key in the right place...
