As an outsider in a hyper competitive commercial space like mobile os (apple, android) which part makes you think it's active obstruction and not just moving fast and trying to keep up, get ahead, etc and they want the open source side but it's a lower priority?

Please remind us which exciting features Android graced us with in the last say 3 years?

The developers at Google who are good at Android development have been busy adapting Android to be the OS for its upcoming Googlebook laptops. Consequently, Android for smartphones has probably been ignored.
