What about for encoding? For example if you want to export a video from Resolve in its final form with AAC audio. The readme mentions decoding but not encoding.

No, why would it?

Only decode support. You can add encode support via the official plugin api.

I don't know, that's why I asked. I haven't done a deep dive into creating custom plugins for Resolve, so I don't know what the implications of that are from a performance perspective.
I wasn't able to benchmark it directly since it's only compatible with the Studio version.
