Plenty of people restrict their account to require that you too have an account to see their posts. A link to Bluesky often feels like roulette on whether I can see a post or not.
It isn’t as egregious as other sites but it’s still restrictive.

I don't understand why they have this option. Why would anyone toggle this on?
Maybe to minimize bots scraping your info.
