I like it. It's not complicated, it's tied to a git repo, it won't struggle if I ever get a popular post.
I even have my own domain and I still ended up choosing to have my blog on GitHub because it was so smooth an experience.

As long as the only copy of the blog doesn't exist on Github, it really doesn't matter IMO.
True. I am happy with Codeberg's new Codeberg Pages codebase, which is easier and more robust than the old system.
