An image with the FOV of the wide-angle camera but the quality of the main one in the center? Assuming the border interpolation works well (which tbf is probably hard for close objects), why would anyone not want this?
I can't think of anyone who would want this, because if the photo is displayed at a high enough resolution to show the center detail, then a majority of the photo is distractingly blurry.
Plus I'm assuming the border interpolation doesn't work that well, since it isn't shown anywhere in the post. Because even if it's fuzzed, it will still be super-obvious that it's a high-detail fuzzy rectangle in the middle of a low-detail broader image. That's super-distracting.
I can't think of a single case where it wouldn't be better to just simply have the wide-angle photo side-by-side with a zoomed shot.
