News is really poorly written these days. I don't blame people for not wanting to slog through a poorly organized, superficial rehash of a press release for the half chance of finding some relevant information. It's not just that incentives are misaligned, it's also that they don't hire or train people to write or find details.

I disagree. They dislike the news options they have. I’ve been dying for a decent and unbiased news aggregator. They simply do not exist presently.
