Yes. Can't just emigrate. No substance in the US meaning your llc would be liable for tax as if it were an llc in the country where you reside. You'd basicly double the liabilities and administration for no good reason.

I wasn't talking about emigrating - just work from Europe and manage the company in the US. You only have to pay German taxes (corporate + personal) in that arrangement, and submit 2 forms to the IRS as a foreign-owned passthrough LLC.
