You can install it on your normal, average Arch installation anyways. Don't need to rip everything out from the root just for a pre-configured meme distro. It's not as if Omarchy had hard forks of all the software it steals, anyways. It really is just dotfiles.

They do have a point. Omarchy's "credit" is that it's a downstream dotfile delivery mechanism. That's about it.
Even divested of emotional arguments, "LARBS but in 2026" is the sort of deliberate toe-stubbing that people should not recommend. If you're using Hyprland without knowing how to use Hyprland, you should either 1) be using KDE/GNOME or 2) pin every single system package that you install. Hyprland does ship breaking changes, you can update your system into an unrecognizable mess.
