I'm pretty sure I specifically remember I had two disks in my dorm room, and had to buy a pack of 16 from Radio Shack or somewhere.
Yggdrasil started off as an 18+ floppy distribution, but it was the first distro to allow booting a full rootfs from a CD .. and man, was that ever amazing back in 1994! Was worth the upgrades to turn my 486 into a functioning X server ..
