As a former rails developer (disabled now), I also hard disagree with some of his examples.
I encourage the writer to do more to educate himself before making such broad proclamations.
Some of the examples given are often implemented on UDP rather than HTTP or WebSockets, so the content here is a little (lot?) off base.
HTTP3 is a different beast, but more complex than needed outside the browser.
