During a photo op today he also reiterated his executive order imposing a 1 year sentence for burning the flag (which has no statutory basis), commenting in part "We took the freedom of speech away because that's been through the courts and the courts said you have freedom of speech, but what has happened is when they burn a flag it agitates and irritates crowds."

I haven't seen a whole story about this yet which would transcribe his remarks in full, but it seems rather relevant to the topic.

Next up, the American version of the Reichstag fire (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reichstag_fire) ...

That is one way to prevent the House from releasing the Epstein files.

This is actually all quite normal, and I think if you read the federalist papers, specifically paper No. 86, you’ll find that this was an expression of checks and balances originally intended by the founders.

A fine example of Poe's law in action. Over-reliance on sarcasm erodes teh ability to conduct sincere conversation.

There is no 86.

Next time, cite something that actually exists.
