I do feel like there are some ideas growing on the right that I could find appealing; many of the ideas listed here could come out of Bernie Sanders mouth, and I’m open to rational conversations on issues like immigration. I remember watching a relatively right wing podcast recently and the economist said “I’m right wing on income but support a tax on wealth” and I think that summarizes my pinnacle concern in the modern economy. It’s interesting to read this like a few years after citizens united and then Trump installing a judiciary that seems to support more policies that entrench wealth and not less. (Not to mention putting a direct line to Silicon Valley billionaires in his Oval Office)

Both the incredibly nihilistic tone, and the inconsistent policies of the Trump administration make it nearly impossible, and as mentioned, the old school right of lowering taxes on billionaires and Christian Nationalism still seem to be the ones holding the most power.
